What made you choose Media-Saturn?
Media-Saturn didn’t really catch my attention until I was working as a student at the Media Markt store in Groningen. Following that, I did an internship at the company’s headquarters in Ingolstadt. I enjoyed the International Procurement and Sales trainee program so much right from the very start that I quickly realized that this was where I wanted to start working once I finished my degree.
What exciting projects have you been involved in so far at Media-Saturn?
That would definitely be our expansion into Turkey. The night before the Media Markt store in Mersin was due to open, there was the worst thunderstorm the area had seen in years and, as a result, part of the store was flooded. This of course meant that everyone had to pitch in and help. And that meant wiping, carrying water out of the store in buckets, putting the TV department back together. At the time, it was all very stressful but looking back, it was a tremendous experience. You could really feel the team spirit at work. And it was this team spirit that allowed us to open the doors at 8 o’clock on the dot.
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
At Media-Saturn flexibility is especially important - often by the end of the week everything is completely different to what you though it would be on Monday. I personally love this kind of spontaneous assignment, you never get bored.
What electronic device drives you crazy?
My digital camera - it often shows me clear as a pin what I’d rather not see…
