What made you choose Media-Saturn?
After my first internship at Media-Saturn, which I did in Procurement, I was totally taken with the uncomplicated way things are done here and with the relaxed and friendly working climate. Because I also wanted to gain some international experience, I immediately applied for another internship in Barcelona and was able to spend three exciting months in that wonderful city. Once I was back in Germany, I worked as a student trainee until I had completed my degree and then after that I started on the trainee program.
Why do you like working for Media-Saturn?
Especially in the current situation, it’s great to work for a company that still enjoys steady growth and continues to enhance its leading position on the market. This provides numerous opportunities for a person to develop. Another advantage is that, during the trainee program, I have the chance to get to know the company from a variety of different perspectives. For example, I spent several weeks in one of our stores, several months at our national subsidiary in Spain and, of course, I’m regularly involved with international procurement. In addition, I’ve also worked together with other trainees from the Finance & Administration department on a cross-departmental project. I’ve been able to gain all this experience at the very beginning of my career - I’m interested to see what comes next!
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
One of the most important things at Media-Saturn is that you make an active contribution and don’t just react. Although there are certain structures in place, they’re very flexible. At Media-Saturn we’re “doers” not “rule-makers”. There are very few hard fast rules, which means that you have to be prepared to blaze new trails. If you’re flexible and open to new things, there are plenty of great opportunities - all you have to do is seize them.
What electronic device drives you crazy?
My notebook - when it’s once again unable to cope with uploading big files.
