What made you choose Media-Saturn?
The Media Markt ads with Oliver Pocher were on TV when I was doing my final exams at school. I thought they were really funny. They made me curious about Media Markt, so I visited their website. That’s where I saw that they offer a dual program of study. I applied for a place on the course immediately - one reason was that I could combine theory with practice during my studies. Other reasons were that I found Media Markt’s image appealing and I had always found the retail industry exciting.
Why do you like working for Media-Saturn?
At Media-Saturn you’re given tremendous opportunities and an extraordinary amount of support. The amount of freedom you are given to act on your own initiative - pretty much from day one - is amazing. And here at my store, the Media Markt store in Nürnberg-Kleinreuth, the manager is the perfect example of how to treat people fairly.
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
Even though Media-Saturn-Holding houses both Media Markt and Saturn under one roof, both retail brands compete with each other. If you work in sales at Media-Saturn, your heart beats either “red” or “blue”. Mine beats red.
What electronic device drives you crazy?
My hand mixer - stupidly, I once used it in a container that was too small and now the beaters don’t rotate in sync. Because I don’t have time to bake at the moment, I haven’t bought myself a new one.
