What made you choose Media-Saturn?
One of my fellow students was studying at the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt in cooperation with Media-Saturn. Everything he told me about his internships at Media-Saturn sounded so good that I wanted to take a look for myself. My career at Media-Saturn started with an internship in Purchasing at Media Markt. That was followed by other internships in Sales and Human Resources. It was also in the Human Resources department that I then wrote my final thesis on Media Markt’s expansion into Turkey. When I finished my degree, I started working at Media-Saturn-Holding in the Group HR department almost immediately.
What exciting projects have you been involved in so far at Media-Saturn?
My primary task involves managing our three cooperative programs of study at the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt. I’m the contact person for applicants, our students and the university itself. It’s quite a complex and challenging task. For the past several months, I’ve been busy implementing our new, English-language program of study in International Retail Management. I’m involved in every aspect of the program from the application process to creating the concept for integrating the students in the company, and since I studied at the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt myself, I can make use of my own personal experience. This isn’t just good for the future students, it also helps us continue to improve the cooperative programs of study.
What do you think everyone should know about Media-Saturn?
At Media-Saturn, networking is important. Especially if you are new, you should try and get to know as many of your colleagues as you can, and you should make an effort to maintain these contacts. This makes your work so much easier. You mustn’t hide yourself away, you need to be friendly and open.
What electronic device drives you crazy?
My curling iron - the curls end up lasting not all that much longer than the time it took to curl my hair.
